Dukaan Poster helps small shopkeepers create promotional posters by chatting with an AI assistant (“Teena”). This policy explains what information the app handles and why. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to make your posters.

Information we handle

• Shop details you enter — your shop name, phone number, area/city, and shop category. You provide these once so they can appear on your posters.
• Your conversation — the messages you send Teena and the poster brief she builds (occasion, offer, products, and so on).
• Posters you generate — the poster images created for you.
• An anonymous app ID — the first time you open the app, it creates a random ID so our server can recognise your app installation across sessions. It is not linked to you, your phone number, or any advertising identifier, and it is not shared with anyone.

We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or your device’s hardware or advertising identifiers. The app has no login or sign-up.

How your information is used

Your shop details and conversation are used for one purpose: to generate the poster you ask for. Your shop name, phone number, and area are placed on the poster by design, so they appear on the finished image you share.

How information flows

• On your device: your shop details, conversation, and generated posters are stored locally on your phone until you delete them or uninstall the app.
• Our server: to generate content, the app sends your shop details and conversation to our server, which forwards them to the AI providers below. Our server stores only the anonymous app ID described above; it does not store your shop details, conversations, or posters, and it does not build a profile of you or sell your data.
• AI providers: we use third-party AI services to power the chat and generate posters — OpenAI (poster image generation) and Ollama (chat assistant). Your shop details and brief are sent to these providers only to produce your poster. Because your shop name, phone, and area are printed on the poster, they are shared with the image provider as part of the request.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Permissions

Photos / media (save): used only when you choose to save a poster to your phone’s gallery. The app does not read your existing photos.

Data retention

• On your device: until you delete a poster or uninstall the app.
• On our server: the anonymous app ID is kept while the installation is in use.
• With AI providers: retained per their own policies, linked above.

Children

Dukaan Poster is intended for shopkeepers and business owners. It is not directed to children.

Your choices

You can edit or clear your shop details anytime in the app, delete generated posters from the gallery, and uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new date at the top of this page.
